How many graduates is ING recruiting for this programme?



For the Commercial Banking Graduate Programme we recruit 35 – 40 trainees per year globally. As we select only on quality (top 5% students) this may vary.

What kind of background fits this programme best?



For this entry programme we are looking for (newly) graduates with a strong financial or business oriented background combined with high-level academic education. For example you are graduated in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or other beta studies.

Which languages are needed?



Our company language is English and therefore you must be fluent in this, both spoken and written.

For the Netherlands, Belgium and Asia / Pacific we find it desirable that you have a good understanding of the local language(s) too, in order to be successful in your career.

What are the minimum educational requirements for the Commercial Banking Graduate Programme?



For the Commercial Banking Graduate Programme in the Netherlands, Belgium and Asia / Pacific we expect you to have completed an academic Master’s degree. In the UK, we require you to have or be expecting a 2:1 degree minimum, and to have 320 UCAS points or above. I have an MBA or PhD degree, how does this affect my application?



At ING we are always ready to welcome talented and ambitious new colleagues with an MBA or PhD degree. For the Global Risk Talent Programmes this is a benefit but not a must have.

I’m not a recent graduate and I have some years working experience. Can I still apply for the programme?

When does the programme start?



The Commercial Banking Graduate Programme next starting dates are:

  • in Asia / Pacific on the 1st of September 2008
  • in Belgium on the 1st of March and the 1st of September 2008
  • in the Netherlands on the 1st of March and the 1st of September 2008
  • in the UK on the 1st of September 2008

What will be my starting salary and benefit package?



That depends on your work location as a local salary and benefits package will be applicable.
